I am by no means a gun enthusiast (I don't own a gun, nor do I foresee a scenario where I would). I support the 2nd Amendment only because I love the Constitution. I was rather surprised by your interpretation of the phrase "A well regulated militia..." I greatly esteem your knowledge and wisdom on Constitutional matters, so your reading of the phrase makes me question my understanding. I always interpreted "well regulated" to mean "capable of performing its intended function" (eg: well regulated sleep) rather than "subject to rigorous legal constraint" because of the forceful, unambiguous language that follows. It seems to me that interpreting it to mean "subject to rigorous legal constraint", followed by stating that "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" doesn't square up. Help me understand why your interpretation is accurate (I am genuinely asking in hopes of learning)!

Just finished re-reading your Abe Ringel trilogy.  The Advocate's Devil is still the best (as the first always are) but they're all very good.  You're prolific with your non-fiction writing, so what are the chances we see Abe (or Emma) one last time?

The Biden administration restored financial aid to the Palestinian Authority in violation of the Taylor Force Act. Who has standing to sue Biden for this violation? The Act specifies that Americans can to sue in US courts those receiving US foreign aid over alleged complicity in "acts of war", but how can it be enforced at the administration level?

many states appear to have specific requirements to be eligible to be placed on the ballot as a presidential candidate. since Kamala didn't go through the primary process, is she eligible to be placed on the ballot in November?

Alan, your comments about the nationality of judges at the International Criminal Courts makes me wonder about the fairness of the Nuremberg trials.  Wasn’t it unfair that all those judges were from victorious allied countries who had just waged war against the Nazi defendants?  Would it have been more fair to include some German judges or perhaps only judges from neutral countries?

Prof. D.

Love your show. You are doing a great public service.

Could you comment on the Karen Read mistrial.  With the crazies surrounding the courthouse every day and their history of harrassing anyone who dares suggest she is guilty; how can a juror possibly not be influenced by this? How does John O'Keefe obtain justice.

I am greatly edified hearing your thoughts as a podcast regularly!

The Federal form would not have had attention or merited charges if the classic Saturday Night Special had not been seriously mishandled and lied about: tossed in trash by a Biden family member, found by a third party, sought for recovery by a Biden, reported as stolen, but turned into local law enforcement by the third party.  The trash may to have been close to a school, say some reports.

The Biden said she took the gun from Hunter and discarded it because of Hunter's drugs, instability, and danger to himself and maybe others. Maybe thhris was to justify the criminal mishandling and lying?

Charges for the form were probably an as aggravating charge (you said something like that) to crimes that were left uncharged.  Seems like lies to law enforcement and dangerous behavior were performed by at least two Bidens. An ordinary citizen and their participating family members would not likely get leniency, ... but I would not know the local state or federal laws violated.

The Bidens involved received special deferral that might have left the whole matter unresolved if not seen by diverse law enforcement.  The gun form violation left by itself was potentially beatable and pleadable.

I only heard concern, partisan or genuine, about everything that was done *other* than the lie on the form. Trump may even do well to commute or pardon Hunter and everyone else given enhanced charges for the same crime.

What if a Trump family member, Trump supporter, or someone who has defended Trump with their family's help did the same things with a gun?

Hunter and the Bidens received favorable treatment, in my opinion.

Love to you and your family.

If it could be shown after a vast amount of investigation by congress and doj that Biden, without a shadow of doubt, is guilty of serious crimes  would you say prosecuting him out of office is just another tit for tat?

Professor Dershowitz,

I am always excited to learn law from my favorite youtube channel, the DERSHOW!!!

I have learned from you that there are unfounded and sometimes malicious lawsuits filed.  It appears that the current President Trump lawsuits may involve Parties engaged in bad faith litigation.
If so, what actions would you suggest to combat or defend against such lawsuits?
Thank you for educating and instructing,   Shawn
